Hi! My name is Cindy and I'm the face behind Cindy Day Studio.

Thanks for taking time to visit my updated website and shopping sites. I've decided to give my website a little more love. I wanted to be able to update more often, to show you what I've been working on and to start a blog to share my process a little bit.

Here are a few highlights about me:

I am an illustrator, artist and dog mom from Tennessee.

I work in a variety of media including drawings on computer, watercolor, ink and pencil. I also sew, embroider and use a scroll saw.

I graduated from the University of Tennessee in 1990 with an MFA in graphic design and have been an illustrator ever since.

I have been a full-time freelance illustrator for 17 years. In that time I have drawn technical illustrations, patent drawings, icons, spot illustrations and advertising posters, trading cards, pet portraits, people portraits and fine art paintings. Most of the people I have done drawings for are from Knoxville and the surrounding areas, but a few have been national. A few you may recognize are The Tennessee Valley Authority, American Greetings, Blackberry Farm, Pet Smart, Martha Stewart, Annie's Publishing, Country Sampler Magazine, The Tombras Group, Morris Creative Group and Ackermann Public Relations.

I play tennis, love paddle boarding and am currently taking a class in Tai Chi, am a lover of plants, flowers, animals and most things nature.
